Captain's Welcome

Welcome to Woodsome Hall Golf Club, a picturesque parkland course with breath-taking views, located in South Huddersfield, just off the A629.
Woodsome Hall is a Harry Colt designed Golf Course established in 1922 and redesigned by James Braid in 1929. which was described as a “gem” by Peter Alliss.
Being 6,141 yards off the white tees, Par 70 with a Standard Scratch 71, our golf course provides an excellent test of golf for all abilities. We have one of the longest Par 4’s in Yorkshire, the 8th standing at 464 yards, however not all are as challenging!
Having recently added an 8 roomed 16 bed Dormy House offering top class accommodation, this is a perfect location to have that golfing break with friends or colleagues.
Our unique 16th Century Clubhouse which is available for private functions, is well worth a visit in its own right with the Dining Room and Courtyard being particularly spectacular.
Woodsome Hall Golf Club has remained loyal to long established traditions and standards, which we believe sets us apart from many other golf clubs. We hold these Standards and Traditions dearly and are very pleased that our visitors have left the following comments:
“On a par if not better than some of the more famous golfing venues around the world”
“The setting, food, drink & staff were all superb. Great club and lovely people”
“A fantastic venue, warm welcome club house, food & service top notch”
“Fabulous accommodation, lovely parkland course, dinner first class”
“The breakfast and dinner were the best we can remember”
“Loved the pro shop”
When you take the overall Woodsome experience of golf course, practice facilities, historic clubhouse, on-site accommodation & excellent cuisine, I believe we have something special which makes it hard to find many places better.
If you have not already enjoyed the Woodsome experience then please come visit us soon and see for yourself, you will be assured of a warm welcome and a memorable lasting impression.
